BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in Retail and Commercial banking presented prizes to the winners of its 2017 Annual Awards during the Bank’s Annual Dinner held on the 11th of January 2018 at the Gulf Hotel. These Annual Awards are part of the Bank’s Employee Recognition Programme ‘ERP’ and are aligned with the Bank’s philosophy that a motivated and engaged workforce translates into a superior banking experience for its clients.
The programme rewards BBK employees who have either demonstrated exceptional performance or who have made significant contributions in a number of specific areas, such as leadership, team work, sales and women empowerment.
Mr. Reyadh Sater BBK Chief Executive presented the “Chief Executive Award for distinguished achievement” to Ebrahim Mashal from Corporate Banking, The “Chief Executive Award for Excellence in Leadership” to Salman Al Hasan from International Banking and the “Chief Executive Award for Women Empowerment” Awarded to The Women Empowerment Committee members, which includes: Hassaan Burshaid General Manager of Human Resources & Administration Group, Najwa Al Ahmed Department Head of Human Resources, Mona Al Sayed Unit Head Internal Audit of Information Technology, Nadine Al Shirawi Department Head of Compliance and MLRO, Rafa Kaddoura Department Head of Corporate Communication and Mohamed
Zainalabedin Department Head of Business Support.
On the Retail Banking side, the following outstanding employees were recognised in their respective fields as here listed: Ammar Al-Gallaf as Best Teller, Hussain Mohd as Best Sales Consultant, Hussain Abdulla as Best Customer Service Representative and Younis Hasan as Best Team Leader, and the Hidd area branch won The Best branch Of the Year. Mr. Reyadh Sater handed over the trophies and certificates to the team members.
Additionally, in recognition of team work the “IFRS 9 Implementation Project” team won The Best Team of the Year, and for the first year a Corporate Social Responsibility award was handed over to volunteers who were categorized as ‘Gold Volunteers’ in InJaz programmes. The volunteers were: Ammar Rajeb from Information Technology, Narjis Aseeri form Risk, Credit & Compliance and Salman Saffy from Retail Banking.
In addition to the Annual Awards, BBK emphasizes on the importance of rewarding great work through its ‘ERP’ programme. The Bank finds it important to underline the achievements of deserving employees which have supported BBK’s growth and success. Significant numbers of employees are continually being rewarded with Spot and Monthly awards where their contributions to the Bank are highlighted and praised.
