To open a Fixed Deposit Account, please prepare the following:

For Bahrainis:

Two valid IDs (Original CPR/Smart Card and Passport).

For Non-Bahrainis:

Original CPR/Smart Card

Passport (with Residence Permit for expatriates residing in Bahrain or within the GCC countries)

A minimum balance of BD 3,000 or equivalent is required to open a Fixed Deposit Account.

For Bahraini Nationals:

Two valid IDs

CPR/Smart Card with valid date of birth, legal name, and residential address (PO Box not sufficient)

Passport

Driver’s License

If your CPR does not have details, any of the following documents should be provided:

  • Proof of residential address (i.e., original telephone bill, electricity bill)
  • Bank statement (dated less than 3 months)
  • Proof of date of birth (from passport or birth certificate or driving license)

 

For Non-Bahraini Applicants:

  • CPR/ Smart Card
  • Passport
  • Residence Permit page on the passport
  • Other identification documents other than a passport

 

The CR is required for business account applications.
