(MENAFN) A report issued by the Omani government showed that the Sultanate?s inflation climbed to an 11-month high of 3.0 percent year-on-year in April as food prices and housing costs edged up, Gulf News reported
Consumer prices rose 0.2 percent month-on-month in April, following a 0.1 percent decrease in the previous month, the economy ministry data showed.
Food prices, the largest item accounting for 30 percent of the basket, rose 0.3 percent on the month in April, after falling by the same amount a month before.
Housing costs rose 0.2 percent, the same pace as in March, while transport prices remained stable for the third month in a row, the data showed.
