Kuwait extends contract with Oshkosh Defense

20 Apr 2010

(MENAFN) The Executive Vice President of Oshkosh Defense announced that the company has received a contract extension to retain 100 field service representatives in Kuwait through June, AP reported.

He said that Force Protection Industries Inc. placed a purchase order for $11 million to extend FSR contracts in Kuwait. The FSRs will work in support the Oshkosh TAK-4 suspension system for the FPII (Cougar) Mine Resistance Ambush Protected vehicles.

The U.S. government put the TAK-4 through more than 500,000 miles of testing. It is deployed on the Oshkosh MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle and on the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacements.

The contract extension allows FSRs with Oshkosh to remain in Kuwait through June.
