04 Apr 2010

(MENAFN) Drydocks World, a Dubai World company, has announced the establishment of a new entity within the group aimed at boosting the company’s offshore market share, Reuters reported.

Drydocks World – Offshore is the marketing arm specifically set up to sell the significant offshore capabilities of Drydocks World, which will move towards offering complete Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) solutions to clients, as well as continuing its original core business of ship repair, said a company statement.

Drydocks World’s flagship facility, Drydocks World – Dubai is the largest, cutting edge ship repair, conversion and new building facility between Europe and the Far East, the company said.

The company’s core business will be supported by an enhanced engineering capability focused on concept, basic and detailed design for both vessel and topsides, along with project management and procurement resources to enable it to offer complete one stop shop services to its clients.
