26 Aug 2021

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, held an awards ceremony to honor the special achievements of individual employees and teams during 2020. The Group Chief Executive Annual Awards ceremony is part of the Bank’s ongoing Employee Recognition Scheme. It recognizes employees’ outstanding performance and extraordinary efforts which contribute to the Bank’s goals in meeting the aspirations of its customers and shareholders.

The notable achievements of the honored employees reinforce BBK’s extensive journey that spans over 50 years and its ambitious plans to constantly enhance its performance, expand its operations and support its human capital and women empowerment strategies while diversifying its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The Bank organized the ceremony at its headquarters in Manama. This year, members of teams, rather than individual employees, have been awarded for achieving exceptional results, during the COVID-19 pandemic, without the slightest interruption of services despite the circumstances. They have even accelerated the Bank’s digital transformation. Those teams have demonstrated exceptional efforts in the areas of Creativity and Innovation, Digitization, Operational Efficiency, Service Excellence and Exceptional Business Achievement…..

Retail Banking awards were also presented to the Best Teller, Best Customer Service Representative, Best Sales outcome, Best Team Leader and Best Branch.

Speaking at the award ceremony, BBK Group Chief Executive, Dr. AbdulRahman Saif expressed his appreciation to all the Bank’s distinguished employees and congratulated them for being a role model of excellence and dedication. “BBK is eager to continue investing in developing its human capital and empowering their competencies especially in the fields of innovation, diversity and knowledge, in line with the vision and aspirations set by the Bank’s Board of Directors.”, said Dr. Saif.

Mr. Hassaan Burshaid, Group Chief Human Resources and Administration officer said: “The GCE Annual Awards fall under the motivation strategies, set by the Bank to encourage employees to go the extra mile and contribute to the success of their team and the Bank overall.  We are determined to continue setting forth strategic plans that will enable us to harness a wide talent pool as we believe that the human capital is the main factor behind the success and advancement of the Bank.”

“At BBK, we prioritize the development of our human capital and attract talents by providing an exemplary work environment that encourages employees to innovate and achieve their goals. We believe that constant motivation and recognition enhance the level of leadership and reflect on the quality of services provided by the Bank’s employees; which by the same, reflects positively on the banking sector as a whole in Bahrain” he added.
