BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, yet again and for its fourth consecutive year won the Bahrain eContent Award; an award which falls under the eBanking category. This prestigious award has been granted to BBK in light of its innovative and comprehensive web-based solutions catering to both retail as well as business customers. Mr. Reyadh Sater, General Manager of Shared Services Group of BBK was presented with the award at a ceremony hosted at the Gulf Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain on the 17th of May 2011.
In order to select quality eContent and promote creativity and innovation in the development of new media applications in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain eContent Award was organised by the eGovernment Authority in Bahrain along with the Bahrain Internet Society and inspired by WSA – the World Summit Award.
On accepting the award, Mr. Sater mentioned that, “BBK continues to ensure complete customer satisfaction and has been at the forefront in incorporating the latest technologies providing premium services to its customers. The eBanking service it provides is one such example and I am very pleased to see the acceptance it has received within our customer base alongside the esteemed jurors of the Bahrain eContent Award.” Talking more on the improvement of the service Mr. Sater added, “Improving our retail eBanking services and launching our latest Corporate Cash Management Platform – BBKCashlink and being awarded is a great achievement for BBK as it motivates us to continue on providing total convenience to our customers using state of the art technologies. BBK will continue to invest in providing the latest eBanking solutions and aims to be recognized again by the eGovernment Authority and Bahrain Internet Society, to whom we would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation.”
The key criteria to be eligible to win the award were defined as the following: quality and comprehensiveness of content, ease of use, value add through interaction and animation, attractiveness of design quality in technical craftsmanship and strategic important for the global development of the Information Society.
