BBK appoints consultant for BBK Health Center in Galali

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, announced the appointment of “Adel Ahmadi Associates” Company to undertake the design and supervision for the new health center bearing its name in the Galali area, Muharraq, in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Health. This is the second health center the Bank finances, the first being in Hidd, and is fully funded by the Bank, at an approximate cost of 3.8 million Bahraini dinars. BBK Group Chief Executive, Dr. AbdulRahman Ali Saif, and Eng. Adel Ahmadi, owner of “Adel Ahmadi Associates”, signed the MOU on Wednesday 4th November 2020 at BBK’s headquarters.
This signing ceremony comes a week after BBK Chairman, Mr. Murad Ali Murad signed an agreement with H.E the Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs, and Urban Planning, Eng. Essam Bin Abdullah Khalaf, whereby the Ministry will oversee the design and construction works of the new BBK Health Center in Galali, in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Health, Mrs. Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, and BBK Group Chief Executive, Dr. AbdulRahman Ali Saif.
“Adel Ahmadi Associates” will undertake the design and the supervision of the construction work for this project in accordance with the best local and international standards for health facilities. The engineers and experts in the company have already begun their work on designing the initial plans for the “BBK Health Center in Galali”. The latter will include 14 consulting clinics, accompanied by 14 nurses’ examination rooms, eight dental clinics, and an observation room in the emergency department with 12 beds. In addition to an isolation room, a unit for pregnant women and child care, a department for x-rays, ultrasound and early examination of breast cancer, a laboratory, and a pharmacy, as well as support services and parking.
On the occasion, Dr. Saif said: “BBK places this project at the forefront of its priorities and confirms its commitment to its social responsibility, in accordance with the strategic plan approved by the Bank’s board of directors. We also look forward to cooperating with the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning and the Ministry of Health to make the project successful and complete it on time and in accordance with the highest construction and health standards.”
From his side, Eng. Adel Ahmadi expressed his delight over the appointment of his company by BBK to implement this high quality project, after the successful joint experience in designing and completing the BBK Health Center in Hidd.
“It is an honor to be appointed by a prominent national institution like BBK. We will mobilize our extensive expertise in design and construction fields ensuring this project achieves the aspirations of the Bank and highly benefits the people in area.” Eng. Ahmadi concluded.
