Bahrain’s ad spending grows 43% in Q1

02 May 2010

(MENAFN) Bahrain topped the GCC countries with the highest growth in advertising expenditure during the first quarter this year, reaching 43 percent over a year-earlier period, TradeArabia reported.

International Advertising Association (IAA) Bahrain Chapter president and World Council member, Khamis Al Muqla, said that figures have grown from $22 million to $32 million in the first three months of 2010, reflecting the increase of ad spending by both the government and private sector in the country.

Al Muqla explained that freedom of the media is key for marketing communication professionals to operate successfully, and the momentum for greater freedom would provide Bahrain with a solid environment for its industry to grow and flourish.
