Abu Dhabi forms committees to settle rent disputes

(MENAFN) The government of Abu Dhabi said that the emirate will set up committees to rule on rent disputes between landlords and tenants, which will also include an appeal stage, Khaleej Times.

Each panel will be presided over by a judge and include three members of the judiciary, according to an ordinance issued by the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They will be able to rule on temporary measures requested by either party.

The rent committee must convene at least once a week and whenever needed, and has the right to hold evening sessions, the statement said.
