Abu Dhabi airport Q1 passenger traffic up 13.8%

(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) reported a 13.8 percent increase in passenger traffic at the Abu Dhabi International Airport during the first quarter of 2010 compared with a year earlier, Gulf News reported.

According to the report, the airport also witnessed a robust performance on cargo with a 22.2 percent increase in tonnage during the same period. Aircraft movements for the first three months were also positive, posting a 13.9 percent rise.

The top city destinations from Abu Dhabi, in the first quarter 2010, were: Bangkok, London, Doha, Manila and Bahrain; representing 21.0 percent of the total traffic handled by the airport in the first three months.
