Aabar invests $42m in Jordan

(MENAFN) Abu-Dhabi based Aabar Investments announced setting up a joint venture in Jordan with the Dead Sea Touristic and Real Estate Investment Company, TradeArabia reported.

Aabar’s total investment in the joint venture company would reach $42.38 million.

The new company will own a convention center in the Dead Sea Valley in Jordan, and will also shortly commence construction of a hotel that is planned to be managed by a leading hotel corporation.

It is worth mentioning that Aabar invests in several sectors including energy, infrastructure, property, automotive and financial services. Its largest stakeholder is the International Petroleum Investment Company, which is wholly owned by the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
