BBK celebrates the new Al Hayrat winner of BD 500,000 in a virtual handover ceremony

Al Hayrat, BBK’s unique savings account continues to present its customers with exceptional opportunities to win prizes while they save for the future.

On Tuesday, 12th May, a virtual handover ceremony was held in honor of the Grand Prize Winner of BD 500,000 from Al Hayrat, Mrs. Ebtesam Alsheerawi. The Bank celebrated Mrs. Ebtesam’s win by reflecting the spirit of the usual Al Hayrat handover celebrations in a way where she and her family could enjoy at the comfort of their home, considering the current circumstances of Covid- 19.

The virtual handover ceremony included a congratulatory video recording from Dr. AbdulRahman Saif, BBK’s Group Chief Executive where he said: “I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Ebtesam, the winner of the Grand Prize from Al Hayrat. In light of these unconventional times, and unique celebration, we hope that you can commemorate this joyous occasion and enjoy this mini ceremony with your family and loved ones. I wish you all the best and I hope that this prize contributes in securing a prosperous future for you and your family, which is the true intention and objective of Al Hayrat.

The raffle draw took place on May 4th, 2020, under the supervision of Mr. Shafi Al Balooshi of the Consumer Protection Unit at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, as well as members of the Bank’s executive management, who have all attended the draw virtually in order to adhere to the safety and social distancing directives.

Mrs. Ebtesam, a housewife and a mother of Five, was personally contacted and congratulated immediately after the draw by the Chief Executive who delivered the life-changing news.  She commented: “This phone call came as a complete surprise to me, I can’t believe that I’ve won. I’ve been a customer of the Bank for a long time and I was thinking of withdrawing my money and I am so glad that I didn’t. Alhamdulillah, this is a blessing from Allah that is beyond my dreams and imagination and I would like to thank BBK for this amazing opportunity to positively enhance my family’s life”.

It is worth mentioning that Al Hayrat is giving out weekly cash prizes of BD 10,000 each to seven lucky winners throughout Ramadan and Eid.
